Add a GST code

This article explains how to add a GST Code used to specify the tax rate applicable to a service. 

Required packages and permissions

Supported in: Lumary DC

Permission: System administrator

To add a GST code:

1. Click on the Reference Data tab. You may need to click on the More tab or App launcher to find this option.
2. Click on the New button. This will launch the New Reference Data form.
3. In the New Reference Data pop-up window click on the GST Code radio button to select it.
4. Click Next.

This will launch a New Reference Data: GST Code form. The following table explains the purpose of the fields. Mandatory fields are marked with an asterisk.

Field	Purpose
* Name	This is the name for your new GST Code. The name should reflect the funding source or GST code description.
*GST Code	This is the GST short code that will appear on your extracts.
GST Percentage	This is the GST tax rate.
Comment	This is optional. Provide a comment if required.

5. Click Save.
