This article shows you how to mark an accommodation site or other service sites as inactive when it is no longer in use or required. Sites should not be deleted; instead they should be marked as inactive.
Note: Before making a site inactive, wait until:
- the last roster period linked to this site has been published,
- all service agreement line items associated with the site have been end dated and
- all related/relevant service delivered records have been generated.

Mark an accommodation services site as inactive
This article shows you how to deactivate a site with accommodation services.
Note: Before you deactivate a site with accommodation services, check that all clients have been provided with alternative accommodation.
To mark an accommodation site as inactive:
- Navigate to the Sites tab. You may need to search for it in the app launcher.
- Select the relevant site from the All list view. Accommodation sites have Accommodation Services as the Record Type.
- Click on the Record Type or the site's name to access the site record.
- Select the Site Details tab, and in the information section click on the pencil icon.
- Check the Inactive box and click on Save.

Mark an accomodation site as inactive
Important: You must also decommission all the beds at the site, and apply an End Date to all services linked to the site.
Mark a non-accommodation site as inactive (e.g. clinic)
This article shows you how to mark a non-accommodation site as inactive (e.g. a clinic):
- Navigate to the Sites tab. You may need to search for it in the app launcher.
- Select the relevant site from the All list view. Non-accommodation sites have Other as the Record Type.
- Click on the Record Type or the site's name to access the site record.
- In the Information section (under the Details tab), click on the pencil icon.
- Check the inactive box and click on Save.

Mark a non-accommodation site as inactive
Important: When you mark a non-accommodation site as inactive, you must also End Date all services linked to the site.
End date services at a site
This article shows you how to end date services at an inactive site. All services at inactive accommodation and non-accommodation sites must be end-dated to prevent clients from being mistakenly assigned to those sites and to ensure workers are not incorrectly rostered there.
Alert: We recommend that you do not remove associated workers from an inactive site.
To end date services at a site:
- Navigate to the Sites tab. You may need to search for it in the app launcher.
- Select the relevant site from the All list view. Accommodation sites have 'Accommodation Services' as the Record Type.
- Click on the Record Type or the site's name to access the site record.
- You may need to select the More drop down arrow to access the Services & Linked Employee section of the site.
- In the Site Services/Programs heading you will see the total number of services and programs available at the site.
- Locate the service(s) or program(s) you wish to end date. If your site is inactive you must end date all the service(s) and program(s) at the site.
- In the drop down arrow next to the service(s) or program(s) you wish to end date select the Edit button.
- Scroll to the Validity Dates section, on the Operating End Date item select the calendar and apply the end date. Note the end date cannot be in the past.
- Click on Save.
