This article shows you how to decommission a bed at an accommodation site. You may need to decommission one bed at a site if the bed is no longer required. If you deactivate a site, you will need to decommission all the beds at the site.

To decommission a bed:
- Navigate to the Sites tab. You may need to search for it in the app launcher.
- Select the relevant site from the All list view. Accommodation sites have Accommodation Services as the Record Type.
- Click on the Record Type or the site's name to access the site record.
- Select the Beds tab. You'll see all the beds at the site.
- Locate the bed you wish to decommission, and click on the dropdown arrow and select Edit.
- In the Occupancy section, select the bed status Decommissioned.
- Click on Save.

Important: If you have made the accommodation site associated with the bed inactive, you must also End Date all services linked to the site. However, if you have only decommissioned a bed and the site remains active, you should only provide a reason why the bed has been decommissioned.
