Control attempts to start multiple sessions in the mobile experience

Lumary DC - This article explains how to set up the system to handle what happens when workers attempt to start multiple sessions in the mobile experience.

Lumary DC can be set up to prevent, warn or allow workers to start a session in the mobile app while they still have another session in progress.

Required packages and permissions

Available with: Lumary DC 1.2 and later

Permission: System administrator

To set up the way the mobile app responds when a worker tries to start multiple sessions:

1. Click on the setup cog icon.
2. Select Setup.
3. Click in the Quick Find search field.
4. Search for custom settings.
5. Click on Custom Settings.
6. Scroll down to Lumary Settings.
7. Click on the Manage action at the start of the row.
8. Click on the Edit button.
9. Scroll down to the Start Multiple Sessions field.
10. Type either Allow, Warn or Prevent. Leaving the field blank will apply a default setting of Prevent.

These settings have the following effects -

• Allow - Allows workers to start multiple sessions.
• Warn - Allows workers to start multiple sessions, but presents a warning message.
• Prevent - Prevents the start of multiple sessions and presents an error message.

11. Click on the Save button.
