Prevent users from editing extracted SD records

Lumary DC - This article explains how to prevent the editing of extracted service delivered (SD) records.

Changing a service delivered (SD) record after extraction may mean that it no longer matches information:

• sent to clients or funding bodies, or
• stored in integrated finance packages like Xero or MYOB.

To prevent users from editing SD records that have been extracted, Lumary provides a setting that:

• prevents the edit pencil and delete icons from appearing on extracted SD records in the Service Delivery Entry screen, and
• prevents users from saving changes made directly on the SD record.

Required packages and permissions

Permission: System administrator

The Transfer SD feature requires that users are allowed to edit extracted SD records. The Prevent Delivered Record Modification setting must be deactivated to allow SD transfers. Find out how to allow the transfer of extracted SD records.

To prevent users from editing SD records that have been extracted:

1. Click on the App Launcher.
2. Click in the Search apps and items... field.
3. Type Lumary DC Settings.
4. Click on the Lumary DC Settings text link.
5. In the left navigation panel, scroll down to the Service Delivery section.
6. Click on Service Delivery Settings.
7. Put a tick in the Prevent Delivered Record Modification checkbox.
8. Click on the Save button.
