Lumary DC - This article explains how to add a new service for inclusion on block funded service agreements and individual service agreements other than those funded by the NDIA.
Service records are a building block for tracking service delivery and for invoicing or claiming funds. Once you've created your service record, follow the links at the end of this article to find out how to add rates and link services to sites.
Required packages and permissions
Roles: System administrator, Business owner
Permissions: Lumary - Services Management
NDIS services and rates are pre-loaded into Lumary and updated when NDIS pricing changes. You generally shouldn't need to create new NDIS services.
To add a new service:
- Click on the Services tab. You may need to click on the App Launcher nine dot icon and search for Services.
Make sure you select the Services option from the Items list in the App Launcher. A search may also list Service under Apps. The app is not the option you're looking for.
- This will open the Services list view. Click on the New button.
- Click on the Other radio button and then click Next.
- This will open the New Service: Other form. Enter the details of your new service.
The following table explains each of the fields on the New Service: Other form. Fields with a red asterisk are mandatory. Some fields displayed in your environment may be different, depending on:
- how it has been set up for your business processes, and
- what types of funding you typically claim from.

| *Service Name | The name of the service. |
| Support Category | Services can be organised under categories. Use this field to search for an existing category or create a new one. |
| Service is Ad hoc only | Allows the service to be claimed without a service agreement. However, the service will not be able to be included on service agreements. |
| Prevent Apportioning | Prevents the service from being apportioned among multiple participants if delivered to a group. |
| Service Type | To select options from this list, click on the option under Available and click on the arrow to move the option into the Chosen list. |
| Quote Required | Tick this checkbox if a quote is required for this service. |
| Service GL Code | The general ledger (GL) code for the service, which should correspond to the code used in your financial system. |
| Frequency | This section includes options for setting the frequency of the service delivery. |
| NMDS Information | This section includes fields to capture information to meet national minimum data set (NMDS) reporting requirements and checkboxes for including this information in extracts. |
| QDC Information | This section includes a checkbox for the inclusion of quarterly data collection (QDC) information in extracts. |
| HACC Information | This section includes a picklist that enables the selection of a Home and Community Care (HACC) assistance type for inclusion in the extract. |
| DEX Information | To ensure successful DEX extracts, you will need to add the DEX Service Type Id. |
- Once you've filled out the relevant fields, click on the Save button or Save & New if you have more services to add.
For a service to appear in places like service agreements or the Service Delivery Entry screen, you'll also need to:
- add a rate, and
- link the service to the site that claims its funding or reports on its delivery.
