Add accommodation services to a site

For a site to be used for accommodation services you will need to ensure that the site is registered with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission and the site has the 5 mandatory core services.

Permission: Site management

There are 5 mandatory services that must be added to an accommodation site for the SIL Submission process to work. The 5 services are: 

  1. Rent Contribution
  2. Board Contribution
  3. Out of pocket Contribution
  4. Supported Independent Living - Weekly and 
  5. Specialist Disability Accommodation. 

To add these services to an accommodation site: 

  1. Locate the site you wish to add the services.  If you need to create a new site, follow the steps in the article Create a site. 
  2. On the right hand side of the site click on the New button across from the Site Services /Program section. 
  3. Select Service Assignment as the record type on the New Site Services/Program pop-up window and click on the Next button. 

This will launch a new, New Site Service/Program: Service Assignment form. The following table explains the purpose of the fields. Mandatory fields are marked with an asterisk. Some fields displayed in your environment may be different, depending on:

  • how it has been set up for your business processes, and
  • the types of funding you typically claim from.
Field Description
*Service

Use this field to search for the service specific services for an accomodation site. These are:

  • Rent Contribution
  • Board Contribution
  • Out of pocket Contribution
  • Supported Independent Living - Weekly and 
  • Specialist Disability Accomodation. 

Note, you will need to individually add each service by following steps 1 to 3 above. 
Program If your business uses programs, use this field to search for the relevant program.
*Site  Use this field to search for the site, if it is not pre-populated from step 2.
*Operating Start Date Enter the date that the site began operating for this service.
Operating End Date Not required when linking a new service.
GL Code For business that use general ledger codes.
Cost Centre For businesses that use cost centres.

 

  1. Click Save.

These services will now be available when creating service agreements for clients at this site.
