To help keep client data safe, system administrators can set up additional Salesforce custom attributes so that when in the Lumary Mobile app, users are unable to:
- save files to their device
- share files in other apps, or
- print files.
Create Salesforce custom attributes
To create Salesforce custom attributes for users with iOS devices:
- Click on the setup icon and select Setup.
- In the Quick Find search field, type Manage Connected Apps and open this option.
Click the Salesforce for iOS option.
Scroll down to the Custom Attributes section and click New.
For Attribute key enter the following value: SHOW_OPEN_IN
For Attribute value enter the following value (including the double quotes): "FALSE"
Click Save.
Scroll down to the Custom Attributes section again and click New.
For Attribute key enter the following value: SHOW_PRINT
For Attribute value enter the following value (including the double quotes): "FALSE"
Click Save.
To create Salesforce custom attributes for users with Android devices:
- Click on the setup icon and select Setup.
- In the Quick Find search field, type Manage Connected Apps and open this option.
Click the Salesforce for Android option.
Scroll down to the Custom Attributes section and click New.
For Attribute key enter the following value: SHOW_OPEN_IN
For Attribute value enter the following value (including the double quotes): "FALSE"
Click Save.
Scroll down to the Custom Attributes section again and click New.
For Attribute key enter the following value: SHOW_PRINT
For Attribute value enter the following value (including the double quotes): "FALSE"
Click Save.
It is recommended to set up custom attributes for both iOS and Android to ensure workers with different devices are covered. These should not replace any existing custom attributes configured in your environment.
Mobile users may have to log out and log back in for these changes to take effect.
While some file sharing options may still be visible to users, sharing attempts should be prevented when the above custom attributes are configured.
