Lumary can be used to capture medication details for a client. There are two types of medication records:
- Regular — medication that is required on a regular basis
- Short Term — medication that is required on a short term basis
To create a medication record:
- Navigate to the client's record.
- Click on the Support Needs tab.
- Click on the Health & Wellbeing tab.
- Scroll down to the Medications (Client) related list.
- Click New to create a record.
- Select a record type — Regular or Short Term — then click Next.
- This will open a new Medication form. The table below describes the fields in the form. Mandatory fields are marked with an asterisk.

| *Client | Auto-fills with the client's name. |
| Medication Name | Search and select the medication from reference data. You may need to just start typing the name of the medication and it will likely appear e.g. Panadol. |
| Prescribed Date | The date the medication was prescribed. |
| Dose | The dosage details for the medication. |
| Route | The method by which the medication is administered. |
| Frequency | How often the medication is to be administered. |
| Stop Date | The date the medication is to cease. |
| Commence Immediately | Check if the medication should commence immediately. |
| Commence Next Pack | Check if the medication should commence at the next pack. |
| Non Packed | Check if the medication is not packed. |
| Refer PRN | Check if the medication should be referred to a PRN protocol. |
| Refer Regular | Check if the medication should be referred to a regular protocol. |
- Click Save.
- The new record will now be listed under the Medications (Client) section on the client's record.
To edit or delete a record:
- Click on the drop-down arrow at the end of the row.
- Select Edit or Delete. Available options will depend on your access.
