Lumary DC – This article explains how to add an associated employee under the Circle of Support tab.
Associated employees capture internal staff relationships that are part of a client’s care team. Recording these links helps workers see which staff are connected to a client and provides visibility when roles or responsibilities change.

Link an employee to a client
Use this process to record staff members directly associated with a client’s care.
- Go to the client’s record.
- Click on the Circle of Support tab.
- Scroll to the Associated Employees section and click New.
- Make sure the Client record type is selected.
- Click on the Next button.
This will open a New Associated Employee: Client form. The following table describes the fields in this form. Mandatory fields are marked with an asterisk.
| Field | Use and purpose |

| Association name | Optional label to help identify the relationship. |
| * Status | Select Active to make the association current. |
| * Client | This field is auto-filled with the client’s name. |
| * Associated employee | Search for and select the staff member to link to the client. |
| Key worker | Put a tick in the checkbox if the employee is the client’s key worker. |
- Click Save to create the association.
Link one employee to another
Use this process to record internal staff relationships, such as a supervisor and subordinate, or colleagues working together.
- Go to the client’s record.
- Click on the Circle of Support tab.
- Scroll to the Associated Employees section and click New.
- Make sure the Employee record type is selected.
- Click on the Next button.
This will open a New Associated Employee: Employee form. The following table describes the fields in this form. Mandatory fields are marked with an asterisk.

| Association name | Optional label to help identify the relationship. |
| Status | Set the status of the association (for example, Active). |
| Associated employee | Search for and select the primary staff member for the relationship. |
| Employee | Search for and select the related staff member (for example, subordinate or colleague). |
- Click Save to create the association.
The new record will now be listed under the Circle of Support tab, in the Associated Employees section.
To edit or delete this record:
- Click the drop-down arrow at the end of the row.
- Select Edit or Delete.
